They recently mounted a version of Sam Carner’s and my musical Island Song, and we were blown away and moved. In May, 2023, we followed the journey of 12 New Yorkers as they struggled to find their rhythm - and their place - in the city that never sleeps. Our site-specific production of Carner & Gregor’s pop-rock musical ‘Island Song’ featured interactive elements and an immersive pre-show experience. The guest entered The Gardner, a fictitious sanctuary nestled in Bushwick, where they reveled in the array of amenities, such as the delightful happy hour and open mic sessions hosted at ‘Cafe Deluxe,’ toured the lavish apartments, rode the subway, got hired at the lawfirm, or took in the city from the rooftop terrace.
We then presented the full musical“Island Song” in a unique and interactive fashion. We were honored to host the writers of the show Sam Carner and Derek Gregor!
