NICK CARTUSCIELLO (Director)
Nick (he/him) is thrilled to be directing this production with the incredible Rooftop Musical Society. He hails from Brooklyn, NY and is currently getting his Masters in Directing with the Actor's Studio Drama School at Pace University. Recent productions include Fifth Planet by David Auburn and original musicals Coming Out! and Big Gay Love Story both by Allison St. Rock. He would like to thank his family, his fiancé, Tom, and his cat, Figaro, for all their love and support. He wants to give a special thanks to the cast for all their hard work and dedication and to the production team including Lindsay, Emily, Jessie, JJ, Anthony, Jane and Jordan for using their genius and talents to make this show incredible! It has been a pleasure working with you all!
Lindsay Elise Burstedt (Music Director)
Lindsay (she/her) is thrilled to be a part of Island Song! As a mix of a vocalist, pianist, guitarist, composer, teaching artist, music director and conductor, Lindsay has dedicated her life to bringing communities together through music. Lindsay is a co-founder of the company CoMuse, a private lessons studio, where she teaches voice, piano, guitar and ukulele to 30 students each week. She is also a singer-songwriter and performs regularly in the band "The Corduroy Suit". Lindsay holds a Masters in Music & Music Education from Columbia University and a Bachelor's degree from University of California, Santa Cruz. While music and performing is a huge part of her life, Lindsay also loves bike riding, adventuring around NYC, and going for long walks with her beagle, Bruce. IG @lindsay_elise
Jordan Griffey (Production Manager/Stage Manager/Sound/Lights)
Jordan Griffey (he/him) has been a part of Rooftop Musical Society since its inaugural performance of RENT on that Brooklyn Rooftop. Since then, he has been heavily involved both on stage and behind the scenes as the Production Manager for RMS. By day, he is a Director of Operations for Snaplistings, a real estate marketing agency. Some favorite past roles include Claude in Hair, Melchior in Spring Awakening, Bobby Strong in Urinetown, Radames in Aida, and Roger in Rent. He is so proud of the Island Song Team for taking this production to the next level and for everyone’s exemplary work. He sends all his love to Max and their little gremlin, Callum.
Emily Spencer Munson (Choreographer)
Emily (she/her) is a founding member of Rooftop Musical Society and currently serves on the company's executive board. A lawyer by day, she is grateful to RMS for the opportunity to flex her creative muscles and perform with many of her favorite humans by night. Her past roles include the Witch in Into the Woods and Adult Woman in Spring Awakening. She is thrilled to be a member of the creative team working with this incredibly talented cast for Rooftop's production of Island Song!
JJ Costabile (Technical Director)
JJ (he/him) is a founding member of Rooftop Musical Society, excited to take on this new behind the scenes role for Island Song. During the day he helps evaluate energy efficiency programs at ConEd. Previous RMS roles include Berger in Hair, the Narrator/Wolf in Into the Woods, and Moritz in Spring Awakening. Other favorite roles of his include Captain Blackstache in Peter and the Starcatcher, Wilbur in Hairspray, and Leo Bloom in The Producers. Enjoy the show!
ANTHONY HAGAN (Costume Design)
After his RMS debut in Hair last year, Anthony (he/him) is very excited to be lending his sartorial eye to the costumes of this immensely talented cast of Island Song. After five years living abroad in London where he earned a masters in Fashion Journalism, he moved back to the states where he is currently working as the VP, Head of Social for Mustache Agency predominantly servicing entertainment and streaming clients’ social channels such as Netflix, Hulu, and HBO Max. He has been working in costuming and styling consistently throughout his life-long on-stage career, with a few of his most memorable creative collaborations including production scale lewks for casts of Spring Awakening, The Last Five Years, RENT and Godspell.
