Aamahri (they/she) is excited to be performing Hair with Rooftop as this is their first performance in the city since the pandemic. Recently inspired to start writing, choreographing and performing more, there will be upcoming projects down the line.
Allison St. Rock (Tribe, Sheila u/s)
Allison St. Rock (she/her) is a composer, playwright, lyricist, and performer based in New York City. She recently studied at The Eugene O'Neill Theater Center's National Music Theater Institute and at The Stella Adler Studio of Acting. Allison's work as a composer and playwright include Coming Out, Big Gay Love Story, the Musical, The Fall, Fantastical, and Left Behind. She received a 2022 NYSCA Individual Artist Grant to produce Coming Out, which was produced this fall with Emerging Artist's Theatre. Allison's mission as an artist is to eradicate ignorance and spread love and acceptance towards members of the LGBTQIA community. As a performer, Allison has been featured in roles such as The Emcee (Cabaret), Maureen (Rent), Jeanie (Hair), and Lilli Vanessi/Kate (Kiss Me, Kate). You can also find her music on all music streaming platforms, including her first EP, Whirlwind, which released in 2021. She is overjoyed to join this amazing tribe, and to be a part of Hair again (Tribe #5, baby!) Much love to her two favorite girls, Chloe and Felisha @allisonst.rock
Andrew Childers (Tribe, Margaret Mead)
Andrew (he/him) has been with RMS since its inception and currently serves as the Managing Director for the organization. He has performed with various production companies in New York City and favorite roles include Cinderella's Prince in Into the Woods with RMS and the Emcee in AfterWork Theater's production of Cabaret. After spending the pandemic singing on zoom (lol) he is so glad to be performing in person in a full production again. He is a Sagittarius with a Capricorn Rising and Cancer Moon and would like to thank everyone who puts up with his shit. <3 In what little free time he has, Andrew enjoys taking walks in the park by his Hamilton Heights apartment, opining about the merits of the 24 Italian Songs and Arias, and singing Could I Leave You at karaoke. Jessie Rogowski (Crissy)
Jessie Rogowski (she/her) is the founder and Artistic Director of Rooftop Musical Society, and so excited to bring Hair to life! Recent stage credits include: Into the Woods (Cinderella), Spring Awakening (Isle), and Footloose (Ariel) and touring the US with indie chamber pop band All Boy/All Girl. When she’s not on stage or producing musicals, she is a freelance television editor for the likes of Food Network, Peacock, AMC, Netflix, Amazon, and the Tony Awards. Anthony Hagan (Tribe, Claude u/s)
(He/Him) It’s been a minute since he’s activated his passion for musical theatre, so Anthony is elated to be joining the immensely talented tribe for his first RMS and NYC production. After five years living abroad in London where he pursued his masters in Fashion Journalism, kickstarted his career, and continued to perform with companies across the city, he moved back to the states where he is VP, Head of Social for Mustache Agency predominantly servicing entertainment and streaming clients such as Netflix, Hulu, and HBO Max. A few of his most memorable roles include King Herod (Jesus Christ Superstar), Jamie (The Last Five Years), Cain/Japheth (Children of Eden) and Moritz (Spring Awakening).
Emily Spencer Munson (Tribe, Jeanie u/s)
Emily (she/her) is a founding member of Rooftop Musical Society and currently serves on the company's executive board. A lawyer by day, she is grateful to RMS for the opportunity to flex her creative muscles and perform with many of her favorite humans by night. Her past roles include the Witch in Into the Woods, Emma Goldman in Ragtime, Adult Woman in Spring Awakening, and Aunt March in Little Women. She is thrilled to continue her legacy of playing cranky older ladies as a member of the Tribe in RMS's production of HAIR!
Esteban Arias (Woof)
Esteban (he/him) was born and raised in Costa Rica. Esteban produced and performed in Federico García Lorca’s Bodas de Sangre as Novio in August 2022 at the Gene Frankel Theatre. His other theatre credits include Hamlet as King Claudius and Seven Spots on The Sun as Luis. Esteban is very excited to be a part of his first RMS production and musical! IG: estebanariasc
Imani Parker (Tribe)
Imani (she/her) is excited to make her debut with Rooftop Musical Society's production of Hair! Originally from Indianapolis, Imani started performing with the Indianapolis Civic Theater, where she quickly cultivated a love for the stage and performing. Some of her favorite roles she's performed include: The Bear (Elena), Cabaret (Sally Bowles), First Date, and High School Musical (Coach Bolton). In addition to theater and musicals, Imani also performs in cabarets with Talegate Productions and produces with Okaeri Productions. Imani would like to thank her friends and family for encouraging her to perform, and RMS for getting her back into the world of musical theater in her first full scale production in two years.
Jennifer Fung (Sheila)
Jen (she/her) is Marketing Director and a founding member of Rooftop Musical Society. Her most notable RMS productions include RENT (Maureen), Spring Awakening (Wendla), and Into the Woods (Jack’s Mom/ Granny). Jen is so proud to see how much RMS has grown and very excited to literally let her hair down for HAIR! She is so grateful for such a wonderful cast. Jen wants to thank her friends and family, especially Paul for all their love and support.
JJ Costabile (Berger)
JJ (he/him) is a founding member of Rooftop Musical Society who is thrilled to be performing a full-scale musical again after a pandemic pause. His New York performing journey started back in 2018, and he's had the pleasure of being in shows like Ragtime (Tateh), Peter and the Starcatcher (Blackstache), Spring Awakening (Moritz), and Into the Woods (Wolf/Narrator) along with other short plays, revues, and cabarets along the way. Off-stage JJ can be found playing kickball, doing yoga, and loudly shouting his opinions and neuroses to anyone who will listen. During quarantine JJ garnered a firm belief in the healing power of a walk and grew his hair out for fun… so I guess it kind of worked in his favor. Shoutout to Kim! Slay!!!
Jordan (Claude)
Jordan Griffey (he/him) has been a part of Rooftop Musical Society since its inaugural performance of RENT on that Brooklyn Rooftop. Since then, he has been heavily involved both on stage and behind the scenes as the Production Manager for RMS. By day, he is a Director of Operations for Snaplistings, where he works with a totally different tribe of lovely people. Some favorite past roles include Melchior in Spring Awakening, Bobby Strong in Urinetown, Radames in Aida, and Roger in Rent. He sends all his love to Max and their little gremlin, Callum.
Ramón Guzman (Tribe)
Ramón (he/him) is a Brooklyn native who received his BFA in Acting/ Musical Theater from Marymount Manhattan College. He also studied abroad for a summer in Oxford at The British American Drama Academy. Favorite credits include 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Mitch Mahoney), Little Shop of Horrors (Audrey II) and Elegies for Angels, Punks and Raging Queens (directed by Bill Russell). Ramon also just finished the Labyrinth Theater Company Intensive Ensemble. He would like to thank his friends and family for supporting him, and God above all else.
Katelyn Fuentes (Tribe, Ronny)
Kate (she/her) is thrilled to be in her first production with Rooftop Musical Society! This is Kate’s third time doing HAIR. The show is one of her favorites and it’s always different every time. It’s been about 7 years since Kate has been on a stage performing and she is so grateful to be a part of this talented cast. She hopes to keep up the momentum and keep performing around NYC in the coming years. Some of her favorite roles include The Witch (Into the Woods - The Heights Players), Abuela Claudia (In The Heights - The Livingston Theater Company), Elizabeth Benning (Young Frankenstein - The Livingston Theater Company), and originating the role of Cookie (Luv Tugs, A New Musical - Darress Theater of NJ). Lindsay Elise Burstedt (Jeanie)
A hippie at heart, hailing from San Francisco, Lindsay (she/her) digs another opportunity to partake in an RMS show! Lindsay became a founding member of RMS following a jam night with other founding members (in true tribe fashion). As a mix of a vocalist, pianist, guitarist, composer, teaching artist, music director and conductor, Lindsay has dedicated her life to bringing communities together through music. Lindsay is a co-founder of the company CoMuse, a private lessons studio, where she teaches voice, piano, guitar and ukulele to 30 students each week. While music and performing is a huge part of her life, Lindsay also loves bike riding, adventuring around NYC, and going for long walks with her beagle, Bruce. Lindsay loves any opportunity to perform and is honored to be vibing in Hair!
LJ Brodie (Hud)
LJ (he/him) is beyond esthetic to finally be part of the Tribe! Recently, LJ has been Neck in The Gas Heart, Malcolm in Macbeth, and Pierre in Black Card. LJ would like to thank his family and friends for supporting him through this crazy trip called life! Currently at the Atlantic Acting School. Olamide Asanpaola (Dionne)
Olamide (she/her) is so excited to be a part of her first show with Rooftop Musical Society for their production of Hair! Her other favorite past credits include Pamela in Head Over Heels, Deloris Van Cartier in Sister Act, La Marquise de Merteuil in Dangerous Liaisons, The Witch in Big Fish & Ensemble in Memphis. Richelle Szypulski (Tribe, Crissy u/s)
Richelle (she/her) is a multimedia storyteller and emotion enthusiast from Pittsburgh, PA—occupied Shawandasse Tula land. She’s thrilled to be joining the magnificent beasts of RMS for Hair, and has also performed with AfterWork Theater (Newsies, Cabaret), DanceWorks NYC, and the St. Bart’s Players (The Drowsy Chaperone). When she’s not apologetically running late for rehearsal, she’s likely bingeing audiobooks, caring for her indoor plant forest, or desperately soliciting cuddles from resident jungle cat, Cleo. She sends a bouquet of thanks to co-choreographer extraordinaire, ESKMM, Esq., and a whole gratitude garden to her partner, Ian, who can wear her beads anytime he wants.
Samuel Cheng (Tribe, Woof u/s)
Samuel (he/him) is an NYC-based bilingual actor, singer, and dancer. Originally from China, growing up in Southern China, he was surrounded by 90s pop music at home, which guided him to attend a performing arts high school in Beijing, majoring in Music and specializing in pop music. Samuel moved to NYC in 2017 and finished his conservatory training for musical theatre at AMDA NY. And he is a proud graduate of the CUNY Graduate Center and very excited to join the HAIR tribe. Vinny Cinque (Tribe, Berger u/s)
Vinny (they/he) is an actor and director based in Brooklyn and has been making theater and art in the city for 12 years now. Most notably, Vinny is the leading player, resident director, and managing member of Cynthia von Buhler’s immersive theater company “Speakeasy Dollhouse” (www.speakeasydollhouse.com). They’re also currently on the production team at FrigidNYC. Fun fact: Vinny is also a certified Reiki practitioner @findyourfeet_reikihealing. They’d like to thank their grandma for introducing them to the wild and loving world that is “Hair” many years ago, and thank Jessie, Emily, and the whole team at RMS for letting their dream of being in this show come true.
